The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The sight of the times millions of flamingos is quite spectacular. From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink. The Lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are all residents here.

Day 1: Depart Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park
We pick up from your Hotel by 7.30 a.m and we drive down the Escarpment via the floor of the Great Rift Valley to the Lake Nakuru. Lunch is followed by an extensive afternoon game drive.

Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Nakuru Lodge or similar.

Day 2: Depart Lake Nakuru National Park to Masai Mara Game Reserve
Depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast and drive to Masai Mara arriving by lunchtime. After lunch proceed on an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge or similar.

Day 3: Have full day game drives at Masai Mara Game Reserve
We explore the Mara region, packed with the elephant, zebra, rhino and all kinds of game through out the year with the spectacular wildebeest migration from Serengeti occurring mainly in July and August. Indeed you have the best opportunity of seeing all the big five animals.

Dinner and overnight stay at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge or similar.

Day 4: Depart Masai Mara Game Reserve and head back to Nairobi
Depart Masai Mara Game Reserve and drive through the reserve viewing game as you proceed to the main Narok road. On reaching Narok, we halt to give you a chance to buy souvenirs, or just to have a cup of tea. We arrive at Nairobi by 5.00 p.m and drop you off at your hotel.
