7 Days Samburu Lake Nakuru Masai Mara Budget Kenya Camping Safari

Day 0: Arrival
Pick up from the airport on arrival and transfer you to Nairobi safari club hotel for overnight stay in readiness for a holiday safari the following morning

Day 1: Samburu Game reserve
After breakfast departs for Samburu passing through hush farmlands, cross the Equator where you can stop for pictures. Proceed to Samburu to a rugged semi desert region. It is noted for game not found to the more lush parks to the south e.g. unusual reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Oryx and many more. Lunch at a lodge followed by afternoon game drives.

Day 2: Samburu Game reserve
Day spent viewing game – dinner and overnight stay at Samburu Sopa lodge

The highlights of Samburu game reserve is the spectacular scenic beauty, rivers and forests. It is an area where the local people have a rich and colorful heritage. The reserves have numerous permanent springs and a wealth of wildlife which includes leopard, hippo, elephant, lion, reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra and crocodile in the Ewaso Nyiro River. Over 365 species of birds have been identified in the sanctuaries

Day 3: Samburu – Lake Nakuru National park
Breakfast then depart the lodge for Lake Nakuru National park with packed lunches – proceed for full day game drives at the scenic park famed for numerous species of birds and specifically the pink flamingoes. Dinner and overnight at Flamingo hill camp

Lake Nakuru's claim to fame is anchored on its flamingo's and the over 400 species of birds found here. The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The sight of the at times millions of flamingos is quite spectacular. (Meal Plan – breakfast – Lunch Dinner)

Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara
Depart Lake Nakuru and proceed to Masai Mara with lunch enroute to Masai Mara – game is viewed as we proceed to Mara Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight stay (Meal Plan – breakfast – Lunch Dinner)

Day 5-6: Masai Mara
Full day spent exploring the park in search of the big 5 with a possibility of seeing the annual wildebeest migration - Optional balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 450 per person.

The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Day 7: Masai Mara – Nairobi – Beach Holiday
Early breakfast then drive to Nairobi – drop off at the airport to board your flight to start your beach holiday.
